Implementation
Guidance and counseling is carried out by guardian lecturers for students. Academic guidance is carried out when students program their course plans at the beginning of each semester. Academic guidance provides assistance to students to be able to assess and adjust their abilities in choosing courses, determining the number of courses to be taken, selecting thesis titles and other study activities. Meanwhile, non-academic counseling is carried out at any time when students have problems that need to be consulted. This non-academic counseling process contributes to students in solving their problems related to study success, for example student difficulties related to funding, family problems and so on.
Guidance and counseling is carried out by the thesis supervisor for students. Guidance is carried out from the time the thesis supervisor is appointed by the head of the study program. The supervision process starts from selecting the thesis title, the process of writing the thesis, and leading up to the trial.
There is a Guardian Lecturer for students who receive Bidik Misi scholarships which are approved through the Dean’s Decree. The coaching process for students receiving Bidikmisi scholarships in the Accounting Study Program has been carried out well.
The Reboan Accounting Sharing Forum (commonly known as the Reboan Forum) is an academic and non-academic meeting between lecturers, accounting alumni and accounting students which is routinely held every Wednesday on Week II and Week IV from 09.30 to 12.00. This program has been implemented well and steadily since the odd semester of the 2014/2015 academic year. The Reboan Forum was filled with sharing hearing activities about knowledge that had never been presented in lecture activities. Apart from that, the Reboan Forum also provides opportunities for Accounting students to convey suggestions and criticism for the progress of the Accounting Study Program. Lecturers also play a role in the Reboan Forum to share tips and tricks for writing and updating the latest issues regarding accounting. Another topic is about soft skills that students need to adjust to the academic atmosphere on campus. Some of the topics that have been discussed in the Reboan Forum include Village Financial Accounting, Public Accounting Profession, Green Accounting, Tax Amnesty, Job Interview Tips and Tricks, etc.
