Job Description and Functions (Head of Study Program, Secretary of Study Program, Head of Lab, and Admin)

1) Quality Assurance Team (Jamu) Faculty of Economics

The Academic Quality Assurance Team is part of the responsibilities of study program managers and lecturers. The academic quality assurance system in the faculty is designed and implemented to guarantee the specified academic quality. This means that the quality assurance system must be able to ensure that graduates have the competencies specified in the study program specifications as well as research results that are in line with developments in science and technology and the needs of society.
The existence of the UTM Faculty of Economics quality assurance team is designed to assist faculties and study programs in:

  • Compliance  with  academic  policies,  academic  standards,  academic  regulations  and academic quality manuals.
  • Ensure that each student has a learning experience in accordance with the study program specifications.
  • Assurance  that  graduates  have  competencies  in accordance  with  those  specified  in  each department/study program.
  • Curriculum flexibility to accommodate the interests of each student to program elective courses across departments/faculties.

2) Head of the Accounting Study Program

The Chair of the FE-UTM Master of Accounting Study Program is a leadership element at the operational level of the study program who is under the faculty and is responsible to the Dean. The Chairman is responsible for:

  • Determine program implementation strategies in the field of Tridharma of Higher Education under the coordination of the dean;
  • Implementing  educational  and  teaching,  research  and  community service  policies in accordance with existing educational programs and legislation.
  • Implementing, facilitating and monitoring the education and teaching process by lecturers based on the curriculum;
  • Synergize efforts to develop scientific and learning substances;
  • Prepare a self-evaluation of the study program within the study program environment.
  • Assisting in the implementation of the resource sharing program in terms of educational facilities and infrastructure and human resources (HR);
  • Facilitate the  growth  of  organizational  culture  and  professionalism  in every  aspect of organizational life of study programs and departments or sections;
  • Control the design and use of operational funds and prepare financial reports every year;
  • Provide an assessment of the performance of lecturers in implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education;
  • Carrying out curriculum evaluation and development;
  • Develop training and development programs for teaching staff and technicians.

3) Secretary of the Master of Accounting Study Program

The Secretary of the Master of Accounting Study Program is an implementing element of the faculty who has the task of assisting the Head of the Master of Accounting Study Program in his daily duties. Job Description of the Secretary of the Master of Accounting Study Program:

  • Assist the head of the study program in organizing education, research and community service.
  • Prepare and propose a list of names of teaching staff and lecture schedules each semester to the Head of the Master of Accounting Study Program.
  • Assist in the implementation of education and teaching programs as well as community service for the study program.

4) Administrative Staff

  • Carrying out academic, financial and student affairs administration that can support the smooth running of educational and teaching activities, mid-term and final exams, evaluation of student study success, issuance of semester study results cards, etc.
  • Providing all academic services required by students.
  • Carrying out orderly financial administration involving the study program’s cash receipts and disbursements.
  • Manage and be accountable for Podi’s academic and financial administration.
  • Carrying out other  administration (non-financial)  such as  writing  letters , documenting incoming and outgoing letters, and controlling office supplies and equipment.
  • Communicate duties and responsibilities to the Chair and/or Secretary of the Study Program.
  • Carry out other tasks assigned by superiors in the administrative field.

5)  Forensic Accounting Laboratory Coordinator

  • Providing  input  to  the  head  of  the  study  program  in  developing  Forensic Accounting and preparing policies, programs and study program activities in the fields of education, research and community service;
  • Assisting  the  head  of  the  study  program  in  establishing,  maintaining,  and  developing strategic collaboration with related parties in the fields of research and community service;
  • Provide   accountability   reports   on   the   results   of   carrying out   tasks   in   the Forensic Accounting Laboratory to the Head of Study Program
  • Prepare  a  schedule  for  the  use  of  the  Forensic  Accounting  Laboratory  for  education  and research.
  • Develop and create strategic plans for forensic accounting work programs and practicum activities
